The authors of a recent article in the ADA journal report on a case of osteosarcoma that might potentially have been caused by a dental implant.

The patient still has some throbbing pain in the area upon palpation and the implant is still exposed. What should I do next?

Recently, however, I went to my dentist and after taking a few x-rays, he told me that the bone around one of my implants was deteriorating rapidly.
