This is the first case I have done where I placed the dental implant on the day I extracted the tooth. This was in #14 area (Maxillary Left First Molar).

I have a 52 year old male patient with a history of laryngeal cancer (removed 3 years ago + radiotherapy) who needs 7 dental implants…

Has anyone had any experiences with treating patients with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome with dental implants? Were you able to find any references?

I am also considering using just two dental implants in the canine areas to accomplish the same treatment objective.

Patient has received organ transplants of the kidney and pancreas. Patient also has a very low salivary output and is xerostomic due to the multiple drugs that are taken daily to support the organ transplants.

I have been getting some mixed messages about how to deal with dental implant sites that have frank signs of infection. In the past, when I had to extract a tooth with a chronic periapical infection, I would wait about 3 months before placing the dental implant. Am I being too conservative?
