This two-day hands-on course includes lecture, various videos demonstration on piezoelectric bone surgery associated with dental implant and oral and maxillofacial surgery, followed by hands-on training with freshly frozen rabbit and pig skull.
This lecture provides an overview of piezoelectric bone surgery and advanced surgical techniques using piezoelectric device. These procedures are taught with unique and clinician proven step-by-step teaching procedural surgical guides with piezoelectric bone surgery
Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:
1. Describe and understand basic principles and variable applications of piezoelectric bone surgery
2. Understand the advantages of piezoelectric sinus bone graft compared to conventional sinus bone graft
3. Understand the procedures of piezoelectric internal sinus elevation (PISE) technique with minimal invasiveness and no use of mallet and no postoperative positional vertigo
4. Understand surgical procedures of piezoelectric harvesting of block bone and autogenous bone chip
5. Understand piezoelectric ridge splitting and its efficacy
6. Understand piezoelectric sandwich bone augmentation with interpositional bone graft.
7. Understand variable hard tissue management and oral pathosis using piezo. Device such as cyst removal, apicoectomy, removal of impacted tooth, alveoloplasty, distraction osteogenesis, etc.
8. Understand complications of sinus bone graft.
* Manual , CD of recorded video, lunch box and certificate will be provided to all attendees.
