He also graduated from the 2-year Advanced Education Program in General Dentistry at Lackland Air Force Base and is a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry. He has published widely in peer reviewed dental journals on dental materials and clinical techniques.

Following his retirement from the military, Dr. Kaplowitz worked in private practice for seven years and is well aware of the daily challenges of implant dentistry in the private sector. Dr. Kaplowitz was formerly on staff at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry and is now engaged in full-time research and teaching.
