Why is Atlantis Good For Your Practice?

Atlantis abutments can bring simplicity and profitability to your clinic while providing the esthetic and functional results you and your patients demand.

* Simple restorative procedure – just take an impression and send it to your dental laboratory

* Eliminates the need for inventory of stock abutments

* Platform independent and available in the materials you want

How It Works?
Atlantis VAD™ (Virtual Abutment Design) is a patented process using 3D optimized scanning to generate an exact virtual image of the upper and lower implant-level models. It enables patient-specific solutions for single, multiple and full jaws. The scanned image allows each Atlantis™ abutment to be individually designed for the specific space it will fit and in relation to the surrounding teeth.

Using the Atlantis VAD™ (Virtual Abutment Design) software, Astra Tech designs the abutments from the final tooth shape, which is a significant advantage in achieving a more natural, esthetic result

Four Easy Steps for The Atlantis solution:

  • Send an implant-level impression and your specifications, such as soft tissue margin, to your dental laboratory and ask for Atlantis™ abutments.
  • Your dental laboratory forwards the patient's cast with implant replica in place to the Astra Tech design and production unit where the abutment is designed using the Atlantis VAD™ software and is then checked, produced and approved.
  • Your dental laboratory receives the abutment and proceeds with the final restoration.
  • You receive the patient-specific abutment.
