This is a lecture and hands-on course designed for implantologists to enhance treatment planning. The course starts with the initial visit and follows the process to implant placement. The course reviews the various modalities of surgical guide development, from the most simple to the computer generated. Participants will learn how to treatment plan a surgical case using computer simulation, how a guide is fabricated using the computer, and how to make other types of surgical guides when a computer generated guide is not available.
Learning Objectives:
1. Listing the different types of stents
2. Describing when a particular stent may be appropriate
3. Developing a CAD/CAM guide
4. Fabricating various other types of surgical guides
