This program is designed for experienced implantologists who have a working knowledge of and experience with basic placement of dental implants and would like to further their skills with advanced surgical techniques.
Attendees will learn the principles and surgical procedures required for advanced implant placement and bone grafting. Participants will have the ability to practice the course material through hands-on workshops.
This is a Two-Day Course Including Hands-On Workshop and Live Surgery Observation
Upon successful completion of this course the participants will be able to:

* Develop a dental implant treatment plan
* Perform an intra-oral bone harvesting procedure
* Differentiate and utilize various bone graft materials

* Anatomical considerations for dental implant
* placement and dental bone grafting procedures
* Patient evaluation and treatment planning

* Discuss bone grafting and barrier materials
* Demonstration of sinus lifting procedure
* Soft tissue procedures to develop graft sites
* Potential complications during dental implant placement,

* Discussion of other advanced bone augmentation techniques

Michael Peleg, DMD
Dr. Michael Peleg is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of Dental Implantology and Research at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Peleg is the former director of the Center for Dental Implants and Preprosthetic Surgery, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The Haim Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer Hospital, Israel.
Jesus A. Gomez, DDS
Dr. Jesus Gomez is Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is also Director of Maxillofacial Trauma and Co-Director of Ambulatory Anesthesia Service at the JMH/Ambulatory Care Center. His area of expertise includes maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, dental implants and anesthesia.
