Occlusion and the Longevity of Implants
Attendees will take a journey through the principles of occlusion including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning and case completion of patients restored with dental implants. Time will be allowed for participant questions and discussion.
Course Objectives:
1) Examine and diagnose occlusal health and pathology.
2) Integrate splint therapy into diagnosis and treatment planning of implant cases.
3) Appreciate the relationship of occlusion and the long term success of implants and the natural dentition.
4) Evaluate if centric relation is the correct treatment position.
5) Learn how the dental team can support the implant patient before, during and after implant treatment.
Dr. George Warga is a 1985 University of Illinois College of Dentistry graduate. He was honored as a Pankey Scholar in 2002. Dr. Warga is also a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, Academy of Pankey Scholars, American Equilibration Society, Academy of General Dentistry, ADA, Chicago Dental Society, and Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Warga serves as Lead Faculty for teaching week long courses on occlusion and comprehensive treatment planning at the L.D. Pankey Institute.
He teaches comprehensive dentistry to numerous international and local dental organizations and study clubs. He also founded the PACE/AGD nationally approved continuation program Lifetime Functional Restorations and Aesthetics.
Dr. Warga maintains a private practice in Chicagos North Shore suburb of Winnetka, Illinois with an emphasis on prosthetics, implants, aesthetics and occlusal function.
