Sinus elevation surgery has become an indispensable part of the practice of implant surgery, periodontics, and oral surgery. Procedures have evolved over the last 25 years to a point where sinus grafting surgery is considered the most successful augmentation procedure performed today and the survival rate of implants placed in these grafts is as high as or higher than that of implants placed in the non-grafted posterior maxilla.
The sinus elevation procedure is still evolving today due to the development of new surgical techniques (Piezoelectric surgery) and new biomimetic technologies (growth factors and bone morphogenetic proteins). This 2–day course features the leading sinus elevation experts from 2 continents. Both are involved in clinical practice, teaching, and research activities.
This course will present everything you need to know about sinus elevation surgery and possible alternatives to sinus elevation therapy from presurgical planning to prosthetic restoration. Anatomic models will be utilized to give participants a hands-on introduction to both lateral window and transcrestal techniques. This hands-on experience will include both traditional rotary techniques and piezoelectric surgical techniques. Participants will get to evaluate and compare the various piezoelectric devices currently available.
A “live” surgery and multiple video presentations will give participants a complete exposure to the sinus experience This course will present both evidence-based approaches and new state-of-the-art techniques. It is the last sinus course you will ever need.
