If you have been wondering how to transition into the rewarding world of dental implants, the gIDE/UCLA IMPLANT MASTER PROGRAM is for you. The MASTER PROGRAM is for dentists interested in evolving their practice to where dental implants are at the core of their patient care and to achieve the next level of competence through the teaching of the worldwide best implant clinicians and educators.
The MASTER PROGRAM provides you with all the necessary training you need to be well equipped for the future. As a truly international institution our programs are hosted on nearly every continent, and our participant and faculty body consists of more than 20 countries.
Session I - Jan. 20-23, 2010
Los Angeles, CA
During the first 4 days of this one-year Comprehensive Implant Training program all aspects of bone and implant management will be featured, including the critical steps in osseointegration and implant site development for long-term success and esthetics. Hands-on porcine workshops using regenerative materials are performed by the class and live surgery demonstrations by faculty. The restorative steps involved in osseointegration and implant prosthodontics are part of this session and will cover edentulous and single teeth restorations with hands-on workshop performed by the class.
Session II - February 3 - 6, 2010
Los Angeles, CA
During Session II all aspects of soft tissue management and grafting before, during and after implant placement will be discussed as well as the complications seen with these procedures. Live Surgery demonstrations by faculty and the hands-on workshop in upper porcine models will highlight these procedures using microsurgical instruments and sutures. Advanced implant prosthodontics with lectures on full-mouth implant restorations, mixed teeth/implant cases and a hands-on workshop performed by students are included.
Session III - May 5 - 8, 2010
Los Angeles, CA
During Session III all aspects of advanced implant procedures, ridge grafting, sinus augmentation and complications in implant dentistry will be featured. The Live Surgery demonstration and the hands-on workshop performed by class students will highlight procedures using GBR-grafts with barrier membranes and BMP-2 grafts with titanium mesh. The restorative aspect will focus on esthetic implant prosthodontics with zirconia/titanium abutments/frameworks and the evidence and experience to deliver high-end esthetic work.
The hands-on workshop will be performed by the class.
Session IV - September 7 - 11, 2010
Los Angeles, CA
During the final 5 days of the Expert training Program new Research Advances in Implant Dentistry will be presented by the course director and the UCLA faculty. Implant patient treatments with advanced and new technology treatment plans will be presented and discussed throughout the week. Final graduating exam and selected case presentations by class students will conclude the expert training Program with a UCLA/gIDE Certificate Ceremony.
