Traditional periodontal prosthetics has transitioned to implant-supported prosthetics. The incorporation of dental implants in reconstructive dentistry has challenged traditional therapy concerning the long-term maintenance of teeth. This presentation will discuss the critical success factors for incorporating dental implants in the reconstruction of compromised dentitions to achieve predictable esthetic and functional results.

Topics include:
• Review of traditional perio-prosthetic principles
• Understanding dental implant reconstruction as dental architecture
• Sequencing of reconstructions and team communication
• Continuing care considerations
• The clinical material to be presented was gathered over the past 32 years in a closed panel private practice setting
