Will This Implant Last?

I placed an implant in #19 area [lower left first molar] and restored with a PFM. I later did a CBVT scan and noted that the osteotomy had perforated the lingual cortical plate and the implant apex was very close to the lingual perforation. Will this implant last? Also the molars lean towards lingual and the PFM is almost there but not quite. Thoughts?

No problem. As a person ages the resorption occurs on the buccal and not the lingual. I don't think I have ever seen implant threads become exposed on the lingual but it commonly occurs on the buccal as the patient ages. Greg Steiner Steiner Biotechnology

Big difference between almost perf and perf and this is not perf so shouldnt have any issues long term this is very dense bone in this area so can handle the occlusal loading without issues
