Compatibility between 3M MDI Implants and the MDL System?

Does anyone know if the MDI (3M) and MDL (Intra-Lock) mini-implant systems are compatible? I have a patient that I have to replace a mini-implant on and I have the 3M MDI surgical box. The issue is that the MDI implants are no longer being sold, at least here in Spain, and so I have to place an MDL implant. Will I be able to use the MDI surgical box (ratchet, drivers, etc) to place an MDL implant? Thank you.

Yes. Placement protocol for MDL implant is a bit simpler as it doesn't require much finger instrumentation but yes you could use MDI surgical kit.

Yes: this is the same system, by dr Bullard. It is now C-Tech and BB

Contact Bernard Weisman, President of Dentatus, he will guide you, after all it was his company that was first to come out with the Mini Transitional Implants

I don't have info about Intralock and 3M (MDI), But I have used 3M (MDI) tools on Sterngold several times. They are same except that they don't make 1.8mm diameter sizes as in 3M.

MDL system offers a better implant surface: OSSEAN. Very much documented in the scientific literature. Also offers more prosthetic versatility, with Solid abutments cemented on OBall, Can also use Ti Base to do Zirconium crowns on Tibase.

TENGO QUE REHABILITAR UN MDI IMPLANT Y NO ENCUENTRO NI TORNILLO DE CICATRIZACION NI ABUTMENT, ME COMUNIQUE POR CORREO HACE 2 MESES Y SE LOS COMPRE PERO PERO NO HE TENIDO RESPUESTA, ALGUIEN CONOCE QUE OTRO IMPLANTE DENTAL ES COMPATIBLE CON EL MDI.
