This is a half-day comprehensive hands-on course designed for the Dental Surgeon with dental implant experience who would like to learn a novel Sinus Lift approach with simultaneous implant placement (called the IRaise system approach). This system with its new design is Health Canada approved.
It allows for the following procedures to be done through the implant itself:
- Crestal elevation of the Schneiderian membrane by hydraulic forces using equal forces throughout the entire membrane (with similar results to the lateral open window sinus lift approach)
- Bone graft placement
- Finally the Implant placement (the same Implant through which all the above was performed).
The result is a faster and safer procedure, with fewer complications, fewer patient complaints and fewer follow-up visits than with the open sinus lift procedure.
The course combines a didactic lecture and a hands-on component. It will review the different Sinus lift procedures available today and describe the advantages of this minimally invasive IRaise system approach over some of the other procedures (both for the Surgeon and the patient) and the appropriate case selection for best prognosis and predictable long term success. Scientific research and case reports will be presented as well.
During the hands-on clinic the participant will have one on one interaction with the instructors and be supervised performing procedures from start to finish building their confidence and allowing them to bring this knowledge back to their dental practice the next day.
Dental team members are encouraged to attend the course in order to build an implant team approach, increase value presented to patients and increase case acceptance.
CE credits & Certificate are provided for the course.
