Palatal Exposure of the Implant Threads: thoughts?

I placed an implant in #11 area immediately after extracting the canine. Patient returned for suture removal 10 days post-op and I saw that several implant threads on the palatal side were exposed. What your thoughts? Is there any treatment that I could do to save this implant?

It is difficult to judge the depth of the implant. It appears as though there was a lack of bone fill in of the area. If the placement is recent you may consider backing out the implant and going deeper with the osteotomy and placing the implant deeper and grafting the site with puros and and a barrier if needed. Primary closure is difficult with the palatal flap if the implant is not deep or to far to the facial. The gap between the palatal plate and the implant should be minimized +/ or filled tightly with graft. Good tight closure is desired.

We need to see the radiograph of the implant in its final position. The canine in this case is not smack in the middle of the esthetic zone, and if the final crown was slightly longer, it would not make a difference in the appearance....you can easily hide the threads....especially since the threads are on the palatal side.....rest easy and have a good night sleep!!
