Excellent webinar. I have taken lots of courses from well known lecturers and have done Maxi course but you described it the best. To the point, easy to understand and retain.

Thank you docor. One question.I understand bone augmentation must be realized before implant surgery, but can I achieve good result in a patient with poor bone place implants and bone augmentation in one appointment? Regards.

Emilio, Yes, bone augmentation can also be done at the time of implant placement. It all depends on the case. You'd like like to plan a flap that will allow you to do that. I find that my best results are with implants placed in great bone without the need to do simultaneous grafting. However, in reality bone is not always ideal and in order to minimize surgical procedures we need to do just that. I hope this helps

excellent presentation. I need to learn to have passive flaps as my most of sutures open up in 2 to 3 days after surgery and also need to know how to do tension free closure. these are easy to see but hard to learn.

If you're sutures are opening up not by design after 2 3 days there are a few things you need to look at. Creating knot stability and choosing the proper suture technique and material. You may have too much tension like you mentioned. Try to detect after what procedure this problem occurs. Is it across the board or after specific procedures. Thank you Dr. Simon for a most informative, yet concise presentation. What kind of sutures did you use for the uncovering of the upper anterior implants presented towards the end of the lecture and why? Thanks,

Thanks for the feedback. I used polymer 6/0. I needed good approximation and wanted them to stay a little longer. I don't think the choice of suture material made any difference Good luck !
