Extraction and Socket Grafting

This surgical video shows a classic case of extraction and socket grafting. The case involves a lower left second molar that had a fractured distal root, and became infected with swelling present and pus discharge. Ultimately, it was decided that the tooth needed to be extracted. After the extraction, the site was grafted with bovine cancellous bone granules, and covered with a resorbable membrane.
