Surgical Consideration for the Flapless Approach

In this video, Dr. Jack Hahn discusses and presents cases to review the surgical considerations for flap or flapless surgery. When deciding on flap or flapless it’s important to consider the width of the bone, amount of stable or keratenized soft tissue, how severe the undercuts are, the position of the implant, and whether there is a need to locate important or vital structures in the area. Key advantage of the flapless approach, of course, is that it perserves the bone supply, and provides a better experience for the patient, because it’s minimally invasive.
