Flapless Surgery and Immediate Loading

This video shows flapless immediate implant placement on a mandibular molar, and addresses some issues of flapless vs creating a flap. In general, the clinician presenting here is not in favor of the flapless procedure, as he does not feel that it is of much benefit to most patients, though there are, of course, several advantages for the surgeon when performing a flapless protocol. Nevertheless, even for skilled clinicians, there is an increased risk of implant misplacement, when opting for a flapless procedure. Several tips for verifying implant placement are provided.
