Guided Implant Surgery: Planning a Molar Case

The beauty of guided surgery is that you make surgical decisions ahead of time! This video shows the use of Simplant guided software to plan an upper molar implant case, showing how some of the potential challenges of this case are anticipated and discussed prior to the procedure. Some of the steps shown in the video, include: Use a virtual wax up (which in this case compared quite well to the actual wax up that was available), finding the right cross section and adding an implant, checking the screw-access position, looking at the implant-centric sections, aligning the implant, and determining if and what type of sinus augmentation is appropriate for this case. Excellent presentation. Implant placement was more nearer to molar. Debate was good. Appreciate frank discussion.
