Dr. F., from Massachusetts, asks:

I have a number of dental implant patients treatment planned for augmentation of the soft and hard tissues. I recently became aware of a technique for using a balloon type device for expanding the alveolar ridge area prepatory to tissue expansion procedures. Has anybody used this approach for alveolar ridge augmentation? What has been your experience? Are there any recent publications on this technique?
