Print This PostDr. Lim asks us:
I would like to know what abutments other dentists are using for their IMTEC mini dental implant cases?
I have several cases already and I have ask my laboratory to cast
abutments for me. Can we use any type of abutments in these cases or
are some choices better than others? Thanks.

hello ! mini implant post is very small. so I doubtfull for retention of crown and bridge upon it.How we can do to better?Dear Dr Todd Shakin, Please give your opnions.
Dear Kyaw,
Although the MDI has a small head, by properly designing the crown or bridge restoration and by cementing it to the ball and square portion of the MDI there is ample retention for crowns. In fact, I have fewer MDI Crowns fall off then conventional crowns. Try it and see! Best,
Todd
Dear Todd,
Is there any website that post any mini dental implant procedure for fix bridged or individual crowns? I would like to view these cases. I have been searching the web for almost a year and nobody post their works. It would really help us who is practicing mini implants.
Hi Dr. Shatkin
You had posted a while back that a 5000 plus statistical analysis was being presented on the minis. Is this done now?
Thanks
Gentlemen,
I’m missing one of my front top teeth. I’m considering a mini dental implant or a traditional bridge. I don’t see any recent information on pros or cons of the MDI. Mainly as a patient, I would like to know about some of the “problems” patients have had. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
