Print This PostDr. C. asks:
There seems to be some division of opinion on what are the best cements to use. I am looking for an all-around good and dependable cement that will work for all contingencies. I just want to have one cement in the operatory. I have heard the argument for resin modified glass ionomer cements but these cannot be used for veneers. There are self-cure resin cements, visible light cured resin cements and dual cure resin cements. All of these can be used for cementing veneers. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Sorry but NO, veners, cremaic or ceromer inlays and onlyas = resin cement(dual, autocured or light cured I dont really like the last one), for everything else rely x luting II or U100, and you are done.
cheers
If u have just one cement in ur operatory…then i wouldnt like to be your patient.Keep that in mind.Resin modified gl/mers is a good choice for everything that has metal, but so is the traditional zinc phosphate for this indication.Plus its much cheaper.
