Dr. S asks:
I use Straumann ITI, 3i, Ankylos and Astra implants systems. I have learned about a new collagen matrix membrane product called Mucograft [Ed Geistlich SoehneAG Fuer Chemische Industrie, Wolhusen, Switzerland]. The material is supposed to promote the regeneration of keratinized ginigva in association with grafting or tissue augmentation procedures. I am considering using this material when I place implants to cover the graft site. Has anybody used this material and what were your results? Has this material been approved by the FDA? Do you know if this material can be purchased in the US?
