Retained deciduous tooth: can I place an implant?
Last Updated: May 19, 2016
Are retained deciduous tooth roots resorbed and replaced by bone? Should I be concerned if I place an implant?
I plan to remove this retained deciduous molar and place an implant at the #29 site. The patient is 20 years old and when she completes orthodontic treatment, I am planning on placing an implant at this site. Is that bone where the root structure of the tooth should be?
