Drill Sequence for NobelSpeedy Groovy?
Last Updated: Oct 01, 2018
I have an issue with the Nobel Biocare Speedy Groovy implants. If I follow the drill sequence from Nobel, I always undersize and frequently I cannot finish screwing the implant down without either unscrewing and trying a larger drill (which sometimes does not exist), or torquing over 50 Ncm and taking the risk of necrosis.
The drill sequence of Nobel is for cylinder implants like MKIII Groovy. There are no drills for tapered implants like NobelSpeedy Groovy unless Speedy Groovy has the same shape as the old implant, Replace tapered, which has specific tapered drills, but I do not think so.
So, what do you do with these NobelSpeedy Groovy implants and which drill sequence do you use?
