Last Updated: Nov 25, 2014

I had my implant done last year (January 2011). Now i want get my crown on. Is it too late to get crown on the implant? What is the longest time you can wait between an implant and a crown?

Generally it is best to get the crown placed between 6 to 12 months, but this is not a hard and fast rule. Most likely there will be no problem to place the crown. The condition of the implant should be evaluated by the treating dentist before commencing restoration. Hope this is helpful Dr David E Azar
