Mini Implants Vs. Regular Implants for lower denture?

I am in the process of getting a lower denture and I’m worried about stability, eating, talking etc. since I am only thirty. I have heard different things about mini implants vs. regular. I was told to regular would be better than four minis. What is your opinion? Why are the regulars better than the minis? What is the length of time before possibly needing replaced? Any info. would be great!

since mini dental implants were first introduced in 2001, there is only a decade of longevity documented. although they have performed well, and i have placed thousands of them, they would be considered temporary in a 30 year old. standard implants would have a an established long term record, and in my younger patients i use them mostly unless temporary is all you can afford. standards would give you more long term flexibility, as you should eventually add to them and have a fixed (non-removable) solution at some future date. investing in standard implants, even if you can just afford two at this time, is a better move at your age. however, minis will do well, just plan on having them replaced within 10 years, which is not difficult.

Hello The first thing i would like to know is why all of your teeth need extraction. Regular implants are the best at this age as you need a replacement for whole of your remaining life. If you can go for regulars only as suggested by James, you can go for implants after regular intervals if you can't afford them. Best of luck

At the age of 30. Go for regular implants & that also all fixed As Dr Nayyar said , why teeth are removed . That may give idea about the quantity of bone . Even if there is not enough bone in posterior part of mandible , angulated all on four can give good fixed hybrid prosthesis. What is status of upper teeth. Implants are not as costly as they are done in western world, In India it can cost around 1000 $ par implant with PFM crown
