Re-implantation a week after implant surgery: possible?

I just installed an implant. A week post-op I realized that the depth of my osteotomy and my implant installation were 2mm short. The implant is supposed to be installed 3mm below the alveolar crest but the radiographs show that it is only 1mm sub-crestal. Can I untorque the implant, drill deeper and re-install the same implant now?

While my fiend Peter is correct I am worried about your desire to bury the implant below the bony crest by 3mm. I am familair with the desire to be 3mm below adjacent CEJ but by sinking your implant under the current bone profile you are setting yourself up for a long epithelial connection and possible issues with adjacent soft tissue/crown length. You do not mention your approach, did you raise a flap?

Do not touch it. That's fine.

Totally leave it alone! 1 mm beneath bone is satisfactory.

It is possible to do this .Question is as other comments have stated is ...why? Perhaps an x ray would allow more specific discussion.
