Ridge Split to Create More Buccolingual Space for Implants: Make a Surgical Guide?
Last Updated: Oct 23, 2011
Dr. M asks:
I have a patient with a thin alveolar ridge. I am planning on doing a ridge split to create more buccolingual space for placing the implants. I would like to use a surgical guide to do this. Is this the proper protocol? Do you have any recommendations on how I could make a surgical guide for the ridge split portion of the surgical installation of the implants?
