Sweden&Martina implants: compatibility?

I have a patient who had Sweden and Martina implants (Global Line) installed. The implants are asymptomatic and well osseointegrated. The implants need to be restored. Does anyone know if these implants are compatible with any other implant systems? I have not been able to find out any information about this. Anyone else work with this system?

WHere did she get those implants?.... Sweden & Martina are quite rare at least arround here. In regards to your question, they have 3 distinct platforms, a conical one, that is not compatible with anything as far as I know. Then they have this internal star shapped connection that is a double octagon.... again never seen it in another implant (compatibly I mean), and then there is the one that is a standard external hex except for the narrow that is similar to an old narrow restore implant. Hope this helps.

You might try osseosource.com and type the implant connection you're dealing with, it may narrow your search.

It depends on the type of implant. As far as l know only the external hex 3.75, 4.1 and 5 mm implants are compatible with 3i Biomax, Southern Implants and Keystone (not the 5mm). The other types of implant l couldn't say. Check specifications on www.sweden-martina.com. Good luck

I know this is late - but I felt like posting this reply. The Sweden and Martina Implant has a collar on the implant which provides stability to the abutment connection that reduces the stress on the implant screw under load. So to restore this implant you will certainly want to use their implant abutments - and there should be a representative in your area to call and get all the parts you need to restore it. As for the tools needed - it is a standard .050 hex tool that is widely used throughout the implant world so you will not need to purchase any additional restorative tools. As for the double octagon internal connection you are seeing - that is the insertion tool design for placing the implant. This design allows the largest amount of torque to be applied to the thicker portion of the implant wall during placement reducing the risk of compromising the internal hex. This is a patented connection and this is not compatible with any other system - so to place the implant you will need the Sweden and Martina Surgical Kit which is available through your local rep. The kits come complimentary with 20 implants or the reps have kits which you can use for a trial surgery if you are interested in doing one. My name is CJ and I am the Houston, TX. Representative for Sweden and Martina. If I can help an any way feel free to email me at cjyoung@sweden-martina.com

My husband had Sweden and Martina implants done in Turkey two years ago and the fixture inside the denture has come out. The dentist in Turkey will not answer any of our emails, so we are looking for a dentist in the U.K. Who used this system. Can you help?
