Tore Sinus Membrane and Grafted with Regeneform: Thoughts on this Case?
Last Updated: Dec 05, 2011
Dr. N. asks:
I performed a sinus lift using a lateral window approach. The problem I encountered during the surgery is that I inadvertently tore away the sinus membrane in the area where I needed to graft. The membrane had been completely removed. I grafted the area with Regenaform [demineralized freeze dried bone allograft consisting of cortical and cancellous bone that is osteoconductive]. The patient was recalled every 2 weeks for 2 months post-operative to have radiographs taken for follow-up. Any thoughts on this case?
