AB Dental Implants: Discussion
Last Updated: Dec 10, 2010
AB Dental was established in the 1990’s in Israel and has two lines of dental implant fixtures. They first market conventional implant fixtures with an internal hex connection for one or two-stage surgery. They also now market a one-piece implant for single-stage surgery with immediate loading. Their implant fixtures are titanium alloy with 6Al4V. The implant fixture surface is conditioned with a wet shot blasting process utilizing an aluminum oxide spray to enhance osseointegration. AB Dental has some unique implant features, such as grooves, or deep threading, on the neck which enables implant self-retention. They have extra long implant fixtures of 18mm and 20mm length and diameter of 4.2mm. In addition, they have a short implant of 5mm length in diameters of 6mm, 7, and 8mm. In North America, they offer a 2-day training course in Montreal, Canada each month.
What has been your experience with AB Dental and what unique features do you think differentiate their implant system from others?
