Fly After Sinus Lift?

Can I fly after a sinus lift , bone graft and implants, or is there a period of time that I have to wait?

Any time you have a sinus lift there can be an inflamatory reaction in the sinuses that may cause nasal congestion. The changes in cabin pressure that are common in modern jets flying at altitudes of 30,000 and above can be very uncomfortable for someone with sinus congestion. The surgeon may even advise you to take nasal decongestants to reduce these symptoms if they happen. If air travel can be postponed, it might be more prudent, but it is not absolutely contraindicated. Good luck! Dr. Carlos Boudet
