Ceramic Dental Implants: Why Zirconia is The Future of Dental Implantology

Watch the Webinar

### Webinar Details

In this webinar, Dr. Dan Hagi, will discuss the current rationale for the use of Zirconia Oxide dental implants. Learn how one-piece Zirconia Oxide implants can overcome the problems we associate with two-piece and one-piece titanium root form implants. It will be shown how this treatment option is no longer “experimental” and that the Zirconia Oxide material used in the CeraRoot implants shows excellent ability to osseointegrate, is phenomenally strong, and provides a soft tissue profile and health around the implants that rivals natural teeth.

This webinar will make you rethink your titanium armamentarium. You will see a way to provide your patients with an ideal tooth replacement option. An implant that looks like a tooth, restores like a tooth, and has the periodontal health that rivals that of a tooth without the fear of screw loosening, metal showing, and Peri-implantitis caused by subgingival connections.

All Zirconia Implants are not alike. In this webinar, we discuss the CeraRoot implant system. With over 10 years of clinical data, the CeraRoot system has shown an over 97.6% clinical success rate. The company that manufactures the CeraRoot implant is Oral Iceberg S.L., a global leader in metal-free, holistic and esthetic implant dentistry. It has pioneered the latest research and development in the field of Zirconia Oxide and has shown commitment to research and development of highly successful Zirconia Oxide implants for the replacement of teeth.

Dear Colleque This are very important aspect for the new way and the future of implantology. I use ceramic implants since 10 years with best results. First I used the imlants Incermed, the Z-Look and now Zeramex from Dental Point of Switzerland. The metal-free dentistry is the way to better health. Best regards Dr. med., med. dent. Johann Baer

Dear colleque Since we perform a metal-free dentistry and eleminate local bone infections in the jaws, we see many patients recovering from deseases like polymyalgia, skin affections, etc. The materials we use in dentistry have a important influence on the general health of our patients. Best regards Johann Baer

Since more than 10 years, I use dental implants made of zirkondioxyde, first the Incermed Implants, then the Z-Look, the Ziterion and now the Zeramex Plus. The results are outstanding. Especially the soft tissue situations are fascinating. We never saw the problem of periimplantitis. Best regards Dr. Johann Baer, Switzerland.

Given your years of experience with different implants, which brand zirconia implant systems do you think are best for a #7 tooth? I also see that you use a lot of ceraroot implants. Why do you tend to use these over zeramex 2-piece, z-systems and strauman pure? Finally, do you use bone grafting material or do you prefer to heal without grafting before placement-if possible? Thank you and what wonderful work you are doing!

For an upper lateral I do like the shape of the CeraRoot 12 implant. If the space is narrower you now have the option of the Straumann PURE 3.3mm. There are many options on the market today and those options are growing. As for grafting, you can graft at time of placement or before. It’s important to have adequate bone volume to allow for proper bone and soft tissue around the implant.

How do you accommodate a malocclusion ,whereby a top lateral incisor hits the lower tooth, when using the one piece zirconia implant? My tooth has already broken and it needs to be replaced. I had braces in the past as a child and Invisalign some years ago but my bite is still off and may be part of why my incisor with a root canal eventually broke. I’m just wondering how you would get around the top and bottom teeth touching, once the implant and crown is placed ,if it is a one piece implant as opposed to a two piece that might have more flexibility in angle.
